About Orchha
Orchha, a hidden gem on the banks of the Betwa River, is a medieval town frozen in time. Known for its magnificent palaces, temples and cenotaphs, Orchha offers a glimpse into the glorious past of the Bundela dynasty. The town is perfect for history lovers, photography enthusiasts and anyone seeking an authentic step back in time.
UNESCO has recently inscribed Orchha on its World Heritage Tentative List — a recognition of its outstanding Bundeli architecture. TripCar's Gwalior–Orchha taxi is one of our most popular routes. The drive takes 2.5 hours via Jhansi, and you can easily combine Orchha with Jhansi or Datia on the same trip.
